Physical stock counting is done with the SIstores application (click on the previous link to access the installation procedure).
The application can be installed on as many devices (computer/tablet/smartphone) as required.
The device must be connected to the store network in order for the application to automatically recognize in which store you are going to count.
If the store is not recognized by the application, you can log in using the store's email address as an identifier.
To count the inventory, the operations will be carried out in several steps:
- Identification and labeling of areas to be counted (zone labels available here: EtiquettesDeZones.pdf).
- Inventory creation in the counting application.
- Counting areas: it can be done as described below or using the mobile application.
- Integration of counts in COMARCH.
- Recount of areas: it can be done as described below or using the mobile application.
- Integration of recounts in COMARCH.
- Regularizations
Inventory creation
The aim here is to create an inventory in the application with:
- The same inventory number as the one opened in COMARCH.
An inventory number is automatically proposed. If it is not identical to that of COMARCH, it can be modified. - The same inventory sheet number as the one opened in COMARCH.
An inventory sheet number is automatically proposed. If it is not identical to that of COMARCH, it can be modified. - The number of zones to count.
Access type: Counting/Brand table
When an inventory is created, when the application is launched, you are asked what role you will play during this inventory.
- Counting: this role allows you to count and recount areas.
You will not be able to modify the inventory (change the inventory/inventory sheet numbers and add/remove zones), close it, or export the counted/recounted areas. - Brand table: selecting this role requires entering your initials and a password: Irri2020!
This role allows you to count and recount areas, but also to modify the inventory, close it and export the counted/recounted areas.
Counting a zone
- Each zone must be identified by a zone label with a bar code.
The selection of the zone to be counted must be done by scanning the zone label. If the label cannot be scanned, the selection can be made manually. - Once the area is selected, all that remains is to select an item, enter the counted number, and then move on to the next one.
The selection of the item is done by scanning the bar code. If scanning is not possible, you can search for the item using its 6-digit code.
When adding an item that has already been counted in this area, a new line is created. Quantities are not merged. - It is possible to delete an item.
- It is possible to modify an entered quantity. The new quantity must be validated.
- Once validated, the zone goes on waiting to be exported. It must be exported to COMARCH before it can be recounted.
Integration of counts in COMARCH
- The areas ready to be integrated into COMARCH are in the “To be exported” section.
- To be able to export the zones, you must have access such as “Brand Table”
- The “Export All” button sends the count statements for all the areas to be exported to COMARCH
- A validation pop-up is displayed and suggests whether to recount the areas or not; the option without recount is selected by default.
If you want to recount these areas, you can check the “Recount these areas” option. - In COMARCH, on the inventory, all you have to do is click on the “Import statements” button.
Once imported, in Comarch, the areas must be validated to be taken into account in the inventory (selection of areas in the reading panel, right click, then “Validate”).
Recount an area
Recounting areas is optional!!
To be recounted, an area must first have been counted and then exported with the “Recount these areas” option. It is then in the “To be recounted” section.
- If you want to recount an area that is in the “Completed” section; you must click on the zone and the action of recounting it is then proposed to you.
The “Recount All” action is also available in the “Completed” section to recount all areas that have not yet been recounted. - If you do not want to recount an area that is in the “To be recounted” section; you must click on the area and the action of completing it is then proposed.
The “Complete all” action is also available in the “To be recounted” section to move all areas to the “Completed” section.
- The list of items in this area is shown in the order in which they were counted.
- For each item, you can:
- enter a quantity and validate it
- deselect the item if it is not recounted (case of partial recount)
- It is possible to add an item in case it was forgotten during the count
- It is possible to modify an entered quantity. The new quantity must be validated.
- Once validated, the zone goes on waiting to be exported. It will have to be exported to COMARCH to be finalized.
Integration of recounts in COMARCH
- The areas ready to be integrated into COMARCH are in the “To be exported” section.
- To be able to export the zones, you must have access such as “Brand Table”
- The “Export” button sends the count statements for all the areas to be exported to COMARCH
- In COMARCH, on the inventory, all you have to do is click on the “Import statements” button.
In the case of the recount, a new zone is created in Comarch. It is named with the name of the zone and prefixed “_Recount” (“ZONE 10_Recount” for example for the recount of ZONE 10)
Regularizations
Once your counts are complete, following your gap analysis, you can make adjustments.
- All areas must have been counted and exported to Comarch.
- No areas should be being counted or recounted.
- Since the recount is optional, it is not necessary to have recounted the areas.
- The schedule is available from the “Validated” section (1).
- A search box is available: it allows you to search for an item in all areas to find out where it was counted and in what quantity (2).
- The control is started by clicking on the “Regularize” button (3).

- It takes place like counting an area, but for each item:
- A reminder of the quantity counted (all areas combined) is displayed (1).
- The quantity to be entered is a corrective quantity (positive or negative (2)).

Closing the inventory count
Here we are going to deal with the closure of the count in the SiMagasins application.
- Once the counts and recounts are complete, the inventory created in the SIstores application must be closed.
- To be able to fence, all areas need to be counted and exported. A recount, on the other hand, is not mandatory.
- When closed, an archive is generated (C:\Inventaire\Archives\), including:
- all files exported to Comarch.
- A summary of counts and recounts in pdf format.
- Once closed, the inventory counts remain searchable and printable.
