All employees, including those working part-time and interns, who take transport to their place of work are obligatorily entitled to partial reimbursement of these expenses.
What public transport services are covered by the employer?
These are public transport services such as:
- Metro (Navigo)
- Bus
- Tramway
- Train
- Bike rental.
Only subscription cards are supported. They can be annual, monthly, or weekly.
Care is provided for 50% of the 2nd class rate on the basis of the shortest trip.
In the event of the absence of the employee, 50% is normally covered for the days not worked, as long as the ticket has been used at least once during the month. If the ticket has not been used during the month, there is no charge.
How are the employee's public transport costs reimbursed?
The reimbursement is made monthly (including for monthly subscriptions) at the latest at the end of the month following the purchase of the ticket.
The employee must present proof (delivery or presentation of the title) and indicate his postal code of residence. A sworn certificate is sufficient if the subscription to a public bike rental service does not mention the identity of the employee or if the employee is a temporary worker.
